​Space is the area between and inside objects. In my work, I used the idea of Notan, which shows the balance between light and dark through positive and negative space. I created squiggly shapes on a dark surface, then flipped them 180 degrees to reflect them. This made the shapes and spaces around them switch roles, creating a bold contrast. I want viewers to notice how light and dark interact and how space can change depending on how you see it.
