Color is a phenomenon of light, seen through the cone cells in our eyes, allowing us to interpret different wavelengths. RGB is an additive model used for light, while CMY is subtractive, used for pigments. In Photoshop, I learned how to manipulate color and create a color wheel, expanding my understanding of color relationships.

Through my work, I want the audience to notice the playful use of color and the inclusion of a meme-inspired monkey. This adds humor and depth, inviting viewers to consider how we interact with color and visual culture.

Analogous harmony

his project explores color harmonies, which refer to the pleasing interactions between colors. I used complementary, analogous, and monochromatic harmonies, with the complementary harmony standing out the most due to its vibrant contrast and dynamic energy. I invite viewers to notice the colors in the mandalas, as they enhance the depth and emotion of the piece, adding layers of meaning and balance.
